Week Two: Thursday

In Todays lecture we were shown how design is created through 'sets' including posters and stamps. It was interesting to see how you cantata basic imagery and with simple photoshop skills you can create a completely different emotive image to the original image.  

In our studio we developed and discussed our ideas further. For me I feel as though I need to look deeper into my topic as I'm still feeling as though all three locations aren't clearly communicating together in terms of Gin and Tonic spots. Maybe my idea is too restrictive? 

An activity that we did in studio looked at stylistic approaches and how imagery communicates meaning. This was interesting to see how different people in the class interpreted work differently and in some pieces I saw different meanings or ideas shown. In a group we choose a word to fit with a piece of art/illustration and shared this in a class discussion. 

My goal is to really focus on what each spot/place offers and the difference between each Gin and Tonic spot. I need to look at more design books and visual resources so that I can explore styles to create imagery and show for Thursdays class next week.
