Week 5: Thursday

In todays studio we had our second interim. I was pretty annoyed as my printing wasn't successful and due to the transfer of fonts/between desktop to computer my links didn't print out properly in a booklet form. However I was still able to print out the spreads and put it into a rough booklet form. I need to make sure that I leave plenty of time next week for printing just in case! So it was a good lesson learned. 

We were put into small groups and critiqued each others work. I found that my peers gave me some good feedback and they were able to pick up on small errors such as alignment and spelling errors. It was good to see what they had come up with and in particular gave me some good inspiration for my first two pages which I feel as though is not very strong. They both said that my idea was clear and they could see the different locations and atmosphere through my illustrations which was positive and nice to hear. 

Matt then talked to us in groups and it was good as I got very constructive feedback to work with. I feel as though I have a big list of things to change and refine so this weekend I need to set goals so that I can achieve everything so that come Monday I have something that only needs quick alterations. 

A main critique was how I need to incorporate more colours as at the moment I am using a lot of white space and the first two pages are looking quite dull. More energy defiantly needs to be added to it. Overall though I feel as the interim really motivate me to push my design further.
